Hemodynamic decision support during anesthesia
DS Aware™ is an FDA-cleared Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) that assists anesthesia professionals in managing blood pressure, hemodynamic stability and the cardiovascular system during surgery.
Using the existing arterial line and patient monitor, DS Aware™ continuously analyzes arterial pressure waveform data to provide intuitive, real-time clinical decision support. No additional sensors, disposables or calibration are required.

Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP)
Systolic and diastolic blood pressure
Heart rate
Cardiac output trends
Systemic vascular resistance trends
Cumulative time under MAP thresholds indicator

Designed to fit seamlessly into clinical practice
DS Aware™ integrates with existing operating room infrastructure, connecting directly to patient monitors to acquire continuous arterial pressure waveform data. It fits naturally into established anesthesia workflows without requiring additional hardware, disposables or changes to clinical practice.
The software has been developed in collaboration with anesthesia professionals and is designed to present critical information quickly and clearly when it matters most.
Case review and cloud analytics
Following surgery, case data can be securely uploaded to the DS Insight™ cloud analytics platform, for post-operative case review, quality improvement activities and deeper analysis of hemodynamic performance.
Secure by design
DS Aware™ incorporates multiple cybersecurity features to support hospital IT environments, including secure software updates, encrypted cloud communications, restricted operating system access and de-identified clinical data.
Intended use
DS Aware™ is indicated for adult patients undergoing surgery where continuous arterial blood pressure monitoring is being performed. It is intended to acquire, process and display arterial pressure and key cardiovascular characteristics to assist anesthesia healthcare professionals in managing blood pressure, hemodynamic stability and the cardiovascular system during surgery.
Seamless Integration
DS Aware™ is compatible with selected Philips IntelliVue and GE CARESCAPE patient monitoring systems, allowing hospitals to maximise the value of their existing monitoring infrastructure.
